Easter

These past days were so incredible busy. I had to finish a few papers for school, and there is still one left! I'll be happy when everything is over :)

Here are some pictures shot during my Easter sunday at my grandparents, it was a lovely day! We had a great lunch, went for a walk and the boys did some fishing, which was pretty funny.
I hope everybody had a nice Easter too :)

My brother had caught a huge fish and needed some help, but I wasn't that helpfull after all, haha

The end of my Easter holiday

I’m back from the seaside, totally unstressed and with a little bit of colour on my skin. It was again such a great stay. We’ve passed 3 lovely days and the weather was incredible hot for this time of the year, especially for a country like Belgium. I went to the beach, did a little bit of shopping and went to a delicious restaurant with my parents.

Today I went to Brussels-city to celebrate the 21st birthday of one of my best friends (Sara). We gave her some gift cards from M.A.C., ate some delicious food at "le pain qoutidien" and did some shopping, like usual. Brief a beautiful day. One I hope she’ll never forget! :)

And tomorrow, to close this Easter holiday, I’m going with the whole family to my grandparents to celebrate Easter.

Have a great Easter for those who celebrate!
- A haul-post of everything I bought these past days will follow :) -

Carlota

Summary of my WE

I can't believe weekend is again over.. It was a nice weekend but not a very special one. My brother and parents came back from their vacation and we went to my niece's housewarmingparty, which was pretty fun!
For the rest I just enjoyed the great weather, studied, made some delicious food and played with my puppy, Bailey :)

Making yummie guacamole
To eat with my grilled sandwich with mozarella, chicken, cucumber, some veggie ketchup and some tortilla chips.

I'm already looking forward for the rest of the week, they predict beautiful weather and Wednesday I'm going to the seaside with my parents (who already left today :(). And at the end of the week one of my best friends turns 21 (Sara), so that needs to be celebrated on Saturday!! ;)

Have a great week!

Sold out forever

It's easterholiday here, but it doesn't really feel like a holiday with all the studying. And the studying-part isn't going that well. The weather is to beautiful and I just feel like doing other things... Hopefully it will go better next week!

While I was bored yesterday I painted my nails in this green colour. But I'm not sure yet if I like the colour. I bought the nailpolish last week with my friends at Bruges, because I heared it was the dupe of the famous Chanel one 'Jade', and it seemed like a cool colour in the bottle. So I thought why not give it a shot?!

But afterall I think I'm just more of a red-pink-nude colour kind of girl :)

Let me know what you think!

I'm in love with my new shoes I bought at ZARA today! They are so comfy and easily to combine.
I already found some fun clothes to wear them with :)

The seaside

I can't believe this weekend is already over!! I went with some of my best friends to the Belgium seaside until yesterday. We've been enjoying the great weather, had great drinks & food, went for a picnic on the beach until sunset, visited some cute places like Bruges and Knokke, and went for some shopping.

Here are some of the lovely pictures my friend took :) - Thank you girl!

A skin by Lush

Lately I've really been addicted to the products of Lush. I know the brand already for a few years now, but never really tried someting out... untill I saw all the positive feedback in January. So in February, when I was in Londen, I went to their shop in Nottinghill.

And I must admit, they're sooo good!!

Today I passed by their shop in Brussels, as their shop is close to my school, to repurchase some products and to buy some new things to try out.

The only disadvantage I find is that the names on their site are in English, and in the shop (in Brussels)  in French. So it's sometimes hard to find the product, but the girls in the shop are sooo kind and helpfull!

The products I got:
  • "Doigts de fée" or "Lemony Flutter": a cream to soften your cuticles. It really makes my hands so soft!
  • "Les fleurs du mâle" or "Angels on bare skin": this is a cleanser for everybody with a combined skin. - Still need to try this one out, but I hope it's as good as their other poducts.
  • "Ange à fleur de peau" or "Daddy-O": a violet-scented shampoo for shine and brightness, recommended for grey and blonde hair. - This is one of my favorite products of Lush, it really brightens up my blonde hair and smells sooo good!!
  • "Iztrogoude Couronne" or "King of Skin": A body butter to make dry skin smooth and flexible. - I use this one after showering. It makes my skin feel incredible soft. Also a big love of me.
  • A small try out of the moisturiser "L'oracle" or "Vanishing Cream" I got for free: it's also a cream for people with a combined skin type. - Still need to try this one out as well. Though I'm a little bit scared, because my face is really sensitive, so hopefully this will turn out well!

What do you think of the Lush poducts?? And which one is your favorite? :)

Miami Peach

While I was shopping with my friends saturday I saw this beautiful nailpolish from Chanel, but I was doubting so hard that I finally didn't got it! I regret it now, it's such a gorgeous peachy-coral colour, perfect for summer -and great for my current peach-coral obsession! Héhé :) -
In general I love all the nailpolishes from Chanel, they are quite expensive, but they last long. So I find them worth the money.

So definitely something to add on my wishlist!

Great weekend!

My first real blogpost *Jeujh*

Past weekend was such a great weekend, especially saturday! In the first place because it was such a lovely sunny day, the first in like ages, because it's always rainy and cold in Belgium! In the second place because I had a date with some of my best friends. We went to this small cute cupcake shop in Brussels (www.lilicup.com) and ate cupcapes as lunch -Yes, yes as lunch haha- and gave each other some belated christmas and birthday presents. Then afterwards we went for some shopping, and drunk some delicious Arizona iced-tea -which I've never tasted before- on a sunny terrace.

Some pictures of our day :)

These were the cupcakes I got for lunch:

Left: Carrot Cake - Right: Columbia (A cupcake with a kind of jelly inside and a peanutbutter topping)
Mmm... But my favorite of all time is still the Carrot Cake one!

Opening the presents we got for each other. I got a Chanel nailpolish for my christmas, 4 M.A.C. girftcards and a sephora foundation brush for my birthday, I was soooooo happy and still am!
The sephora foundation brush was extra special, because my friend brought it with her from the US...we don't have a sephora in Belgium :(

Thank you so much girls for these beautiful presents!!

After our cupcakes we went to the MAC store which was so so crowded due to the launch of quite cute collection. It was quite a cute collection but didn't got anything because I was more interested in the wonderwomen collection! I actually wanted to buy the 'Aphrodite'- blush, but it was sold out! So I only got a lipstick and some things from their normal collection. Look at how beautiful the packaging is of the wonderwoman collection, soo in love.

From the normal collection I got a blush in the colour 'peaches', the painterly paintpot,
and a cremesheen glass gloss in 'richer, lusher'

Lately I'm really into coral colours, so I'm really happy with the colours I got! They suit my skintone pretty good and they are perfect for summer. -If you're interested in a review or a swatch please let me know in the comments below :)

Lipstick from the wonderwoman collection in the colour MARQUISE D' (Lustre finish)

We also went to a shop where they got the famous EOS lipbalms eveybody has. I've never tried them before, but I was so happy me and my friends finally found a shop in Brussels where we could buy them!!
I'm already addicted to them, because they are so good! Smooth but not sticky at all, that's how I like it!

The pink one is summer fruit, the green one is honeysuckle honeydrew and
the yellow one is lemon drop with SPF 15, which is great for summer.

This one is definitely my favorite!!

And the Arizona Iced-tea- jummie!! :) It was so good and refreshing!
